Max Minardi has always been drawn to songs that tell a story. Whether capturing a moment of joy, heartbreak, adventure, or nostalgia, he believes music has a unique way of turning everyday experiences into something meaningful. Inspired by the likes of James Taylor, The Avett Brothers, and John Mayer, he aims to create music that feels genuine—songs that bring people together, spark memories, and leave a lasting impression.
Based in Chico, California, Max began performing professionally in 2012. After building a following in the local bar and venue scene, his performances quickly grew into a full-time career, taking him across the U.S. and overseas. Now playing around 200 shows a year—from intimate house concerts to festival stages—each performance serves as a reminder of why he loves what he does.
His debut album, Stronger Than the Earth, was an exploration of his voice as a songwriter. The album’s raw, organic sound comes to life with a seven-piece band, weaving through songs about love, life, growing up, and growing old. His EP Stories took a more experimental approach, blending influences from classic country to ‘80s rock and roll. No matter the project, his music remains rooted in thoughtful storytelling and warm folk-pop melodies.
As he continues to write, record, and tour, Max remains committed to sharing songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Wherever the road takes him next, he’ll be out there, playing songs and telling stories the best way he knows how.
